I resonate with this:

"[...]wanting to improve isn’t the same as actually being willing to go through the process that creates real improvement."

Putting in the reps also includes the reps of the debrief. Coming off track, I am switching gears from being the rider at triple digits speeds to being my own pit crew. The bike needs to go on the stands, the warmers back on, tire pressure/temperature checks, and then maybe the riding gear can be peeled off.

Now I have to do paperwork to write down what just happened in that session? It's easy to skip it. Wanting to improve includes having to consistently 'do the work' which includes giving yourself an honest score on what just happened in the session and what needs adjustment. Thank you for creating these debrief templates on your website. They're very helpful to get us started on documentation.

So simple, yet so hard. It must be the beauty of this madness we have decided to torture ourselves with.
