[Review] Track Test of the 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765RS
Track test of my new 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765RS with a deep breakdown of why I bought it, what other models I considered and how it did with bonus data comparisons.
It’s been a few years since I bought a new bike and I wanted something new to coach on that was fun, had the ability to get a laptime and was a little different. Enter the 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765RS! Looking back, I’ve had some history with Triumph and getting on this reminded me of how much I like their bikes. The plan is to keep it pretty simple, other than adding a bit of data acquisition equipment for more in-depth Substack articles.
I hadn’t planned on an in-depth review, but after I posted a few online pictures of it, enough people reached out to ask about it, so here it is.
On board at New Jersey Motorsports Park -
Data comparisons -
Street Triple vs KTM 890R at The Ridge
(Street Triple - Black - KTM - Orange)
Street Triple vs my benchmark FZ1 at The Ridge
(Street Triple - Black - FZ1 - Blue)
Street Triple vs a Moto America spec GSXR750 at New Jersey Motorsports Park with GPS Speed and Lean Angle
Street Triple - Blue - GSXR750 - Red
I also purchased a '24 STRS to replace the '14 BMW S1000R I'm selling. I found the BMW too much of a handfull on the track, simply a beast. Prior to the BMW I had a '13 Daytona 675R and a '01 R6. At 72 and with "early onset rigor mortis" clip-on's are no longer in my life. Lovin' the STRS and your review of yours and I look forward to its evolution! However, I would appreciate it if you would share what you did to your forks, how much is showing above the triple?
Much thanks for all you've done for the sport and riders, been a long time fan and have learned soooo much from you
