In 2013, MotoGP racer Bradley Smith needed some familiarization laps at Laguna Seca in preparation for the upcoming MotoGP race. Since he was on the Tech3 Yamaha MotoGP team and the Yamaha School just happened to be doing a school in April, the timing was perfect for him to come and ride with us. Having him at the school, watching him ride, and getting the opportunity to pick his brain was a great experience for both the students and instructors. He rode for himself when the students were in class on a stock Yamaha R1 with Dunlop Q2s, but also went out with the students when they were riding, doing the same drills they were working on. Very cool.
